Our Strategies
- Promote healthy pregnancies and improved care: Parents are educated about how to have a healthy pregnancy, with topics such as nutrition, prenatal care, signs of labor and the importance of delivering at full-term. Best practices and resources are shared with health care professionals, based on a collaboration with global alliances.
- Support families of premature babies: Families are supported so they can best care for their babies. We help parents understand the frightening neonatal ICU environment, educate them about the challenges preemies often face, create a community of parents to share with and support each other and create a network of resources from like-minded organizations.
- Advocate for prenatal and neonatal needs: Families and health services are connected to create a robust support system. We communicate with families to understand their needs during pregnancy and raising a preemie, we help health professionals understand parents' perspectives and we campaign with policymakers to help babies have the best start in life.
